412: Student-Centric vs. Student-Concerned - with Dr. Stephen Standifird, President of Bradley University

We welcome YOU back to America's leading higher education podcast, The EdUp Experience!

It’s YOUR time to #EdUp

In this episode, President Series #143, YOUR guest is Dr. Stephen Standifird, President of Bradley University, YOUR guest cohost is Dr. Bill Pepicello, YOUR host is Dr. Joe Sallustio, & YOUR sponsor is Commencement: The Beginning of a New Era In Higher Education, coming fall 2022.

What is the difference between being student-centered vs. student concerned?  Stephen will talk about Bradley U's focus on wrapping support around the student rather than wrapping the student around support systems.  Hear him discuss the value of college education, why having someone at a high level from outside higher education is a benefit, & why strategic planning is so important as long as it is directional!

Dr. Stephen Standifird began his tenure as president of Bradley University in May 2020. Prior to joining Bradley, he had served as dean of Butler University’s Andre B. Lacy School of Business since 2014. Previously, Standifird served as the dean of the business school at the University of Evansville. Earlier positions include associate dean of graduate & professional programs & director of undergraduate programs, both at the University of San Diego.

Thank YOU so much for tuning in. Join us on the next episode for YOUR time to EdUp!
