This is The EdUp Experience President Series, Episode #21 - In this episode, we welcome the President of the University of Puerto Rico, Dr. Jorge Haddock.  Jorge talks to us about the resistance of the island of Puerto Rico and how the people have come together given significant challenges.  He highlights how the University of Puerto Rico is serving BIPOC populations and how changing quickly, enrollment trends, and financial implications are impacted by the pandemic and by competition.

Dr. Haddock started his academic life as an Assistant Professor at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez. Then at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, he moved through the ranks by attaining tenure, becoming a full professor in engineering, and later serving as the associate dean of the Lally School of Management and Technology. It was at Rensselaer that he discovered a passion for academic leadership and building partnerships across disciplines, also bringing an entrepreneurial spirit to his work. Thanks so much for tuning in. Join us again next time for another episode! Contact Us!
