Specifically, Carrie points out that the well-being of her staff is top of mind given all of the effort that has gone into protecting students over the last two years. She points out that, now more than ever, employers are knocking at the door of her community college to hire talent - & there are simply not enough graduates to fill the jobs. We also discuss the community college stigman & Bill gives a history lesson on where the term "vocational" came from.
Dr. Carrie L. Brimhall was named president of Minnesota State Community & Technical College in July 2018. A first-generation student & graduate of M State, Brimhall is focused on helping all students achieve. She has a reputation as a leader with a vision for the future of higher education & community colleges, & as a champion for the missions of community & technical colleges.
