What a pleasure to be interviewed by Dr. Joe Sallustio, EdD and one of my favorite presidents, Dr. Margaret McMenamin.

It was a pleasure to be invited to share another perspective on what it is like to be president of a community college and how one survives for 20+ years in the position. It was fun to look back, address current challenges, and look to the future of higher education.

Joe and Margaret were excellent co-hosts who had to work hard to get me out of my shell, lol. Seriously, as someone who was about to retire, they reminded me of the importance of the work we do and the need to question our own assumptions and perspectives. Dr. McMenamin truly represents us so well as a national model of presidential leadership. She is a constant inspiration!

Hopefully, this adds to the conversation of pressing issues facing higher education today.
