In this episode of The EdUp Experience, we welcome the President & CEO of the Association for Career Education Colleges and Universities (CECU), Steve Gunderson. In recent years, for-profit colleges have seen declines and closures. However, the sector remains strong and Steve discusses why the fighting among higher education sectors and the political targeting hurts America's ability to recover during unprecedented unemployment. As Steve says, we need diversity and that applies to educational offerings and models as much as it does to people and leadership. The difference between for-profit and non-profit education is a tax status.
Steve Gunderson’s entire career has held the issues of education and workforce investment as priorities for both the nation and his professional work. Today, he advances this work as the President and CEO of the Association of Career Education Colleges and Universities (CECU).
